A Mermaid Shaker Card

Hi everyone!

This is DT Yani here with some *summer* inspiration just for you!

A shaker card featuring the lovely Evie. She was colored with Prismacolor Pencils and mineral spirits. I also added Stickles to her tail and eyes to make her sparkle a little bit ;) I filled in the shaker card with sugar glitter by Doodlebug and a couple of glitter stars that I found around. All papers are Melissa Frances, and the rest are pearls, cheese cloth, seam binding, and a pastel pink flower.

Pups & Me

Hello all Vicky here today with a wee card, I'm running late I'm afraid :0(

Now the image I've used was a freebie off the lovely Krista & unfortunately is not available in her store. I coloured this up a bit ago & went for a soft look on her so used my distress markers.

The image is called 'Pups & Me' & boy are they cute!!

I coloured her with my favourite colours, purple/lilac. Then when some gorgeous new Pion papers were released I knew what image they would go to..........although I always make sure I have papers in these colours lol.

I adore this image & will be using her again & again..............though ALL of Krista's images I could use again & again lol. Though this one has gone into my top 10 ;0)

Hello Saturated Canary lovers!xx Dt Jane here with a wee make...and if I am completely honest with you guys I am not 100% happy with this card but am posting it anyway....do you know when you have an idea in your head but then you just can't quite get it down right on paper??

I have used the funky Josephine for my card and I have attempted a funky background to match...which is much better inside my head!......no papers at all which is hard!!

I am a mermaid.......!!

Morning everyone!!

Its Lou in this morning with a little post for you!! I just had to have a play with the gorgeous new I am a Mermaid image for my post, well...it would be rude not to ;) he he he!!!

I decided to let my imagination go and go for full on mermaidy colours and sparkle, I hope they come up ok in the pictures....

 I made a little wall hanging and added some of my teeny beach comber Lou shells. I love these small shells, I pick some up every time we go to the beach!!!

We passed!

Happy Monday everyone! It's Joni here, celebrating the start of summer in South Carolina and looking forward to the long lazy days ahead. :) All of my kiddos completed another great year with wonderful teachers. I cannot believe that I'll have a Sophomore in college, a Junior in high school, an 8th grader, 5th grader, 3rd grader, and 1st grader in the Fall. Yikes!
Before school ended, I managed to make a card for my daughter's second grade teacher using Keys Please:

Her teacher is quite stylish and so young at heart, she's always wearing the cutest outfits to school.
Now I know that this image is made for a new driver, but coincidentally, our state testing here is the acronym P.A.S.S. This was the perfect cutie to use on a "thank you" card after they were done with the year, paired with some fun patterned papers, and Offray ruler ribbon.

Oui Please!

Happy beautiful Monday everyone! It's Joni here, celebrating a new month and new images here at Saturated Canary. How can we not get excited about long, lazy days, when Krista has drawn up so many new digis to play with? Yay! Today I am sharing Denise, a tres chic new image found here in the shop:

When I began coloring, Denise was actually lighter complected. Once I was done, I realized that she looked a bit washed out, and decided to take the plunge and give her a tan. Has anyone done that before? It's very scary. lol! But I knew if I messed up, it would just mean more time coloring her up again, which is not a bad thing. ;) Fortunately shading her with darker copics came out just fine, and I was pleased with the contrast of skin tone and her outfit.
