Are you having a great weekend?? I hope everyone is! Watching football?? Or crafting??...Maybe just snuggled up for a nice nap on the couch?:)...Whatever you are doing, hope it is relaxing and fun:)!

Last night I made this card for my niece. Her birthday is coming up, and I am ahead of the game! (Wow. I'm even shocked at that!:) She lives in PA...And even though we see Phil's family a lot...we still kinda wish our visits were more frequent:)! I colored in Stroppy Beth to look like Niamhy. Wanted it to be a --I'm missing you on your birthday-- sort of card:). We will def get up there for her party...but thought it would be fun to put a card in the mail, too! Those two girls are the bestest of friends:).

While I was coloring her, I realized that I am always grabbing for pink. And beige-y colors. Like-- for every card:). I need to expand my color preferences a little:), but they are my go to's. Oh, and I love pink and green. It's such a pretty combo!!Also one of my favorites!!

What are your favorite color combos??
The markers or pencils you reach for the most??

  3. This is AMAZING Krista, your niece will love it, I love the cute freckles too!!! I use grey lead pencil for colouring nearly all the time as I love the black and white look, recently I have started watercolouring, I love vintage/shabby shades of pinks, browns and turquoise though....
Hope you had a great weekend Krista,
    Big hugs

  4. Wow, your card is gorgeous! Love the colouring and just all your detail. I colour with promakers and my comfort colours are pink/blue/beige. Just soft pastel colours really. I am just about to post my challenge card and i didnt use a bit of pink on it but its still pastel! I even find myself making non-traditional Christmas cards so that i can avoid dark red and greens etc!!
Your Pink and green looks fab!
Hope your having a fab weekend!

  5. That card is adorable!!

colors...hmmm...well black/red are two of my absolute favorites, buuuuuuuuttt, when it comes to coloring digis, I'm a rainbow girl. LOVE 'em ALL!!!! I do tend to reach for my craft paper cardstock for the base of my cards a lot. I seem to have a hard time using anything other than that or the basic white base...LOL (that's prolly cause I tend to color the digis the way I feel at the time and think about the "card" part later...oh well)

  6. Love those blue eyes with the brown hair. Those pink ribbons are super in her hair too. Favourite colouring medium has to be pencils - lately the Polychromos. I don't really have any 'go to' colours - still really trying to find some method for colours in my creating. I have always loved creams & browns with oranges though.

  11. Hiya, fab card me I'm more a blue girl with greens and browns probably as I don't have many girls to make cards for and as these are the colours I tend to be drawn to in life too I love how they look with white and remind me of fresh summer days and warm summer skies, I actually find it hard colouring with pink. What colours if any do you find it hard to colour with.
